Missions
Knox supports a number of mission projects.
These are facilitated by Wilma Welsh, our mission coordinator and Isobel Muir, Convener of the Mission and Outreach Committee.

At the 166th Annual Convocation of Knox College on May 12th, Wilma Welsh was presented The Degree of Doctor of Divinity (honoris causa) in recognition of her demonstration of creative leadership in The Presbyterian Church in Canada and in the mission field.
Although, now officially retired, Wilma has actively participated on both Knox, Guelph's Session and in the Presbytery of Waterloo-Wellington. In addition, she served as Moderator of the 132nd General Assembly and is only the second non-clergy Moderator in the history of the PCC. Wilma also continues her work with the Women's Missionary Society.

The Knox chapter of the Women’s Missionary Society (WMS) meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 2:00 p.m. The WMS is dedicated to mission and outreach action.
CORE: Knox church is a member of the CORE Program in downtown Guelph.
Our Lenten offering supports the Drop In Centre, the Canadian Bible Society and Presbyterian World Service and Development.

BAD NEWS: the Federal Government, without warning, has cut off funding to Kairos, an ecumenical service organization, of which the Presbyterian Church in Canada is an active member. Conservative and Liberal governments have funded this service organization for 35 years. They advocate for and enable the disadvantaged and vulnerable to improve their lot in life in Canada but especially troubled spots in the world like the Sudan and the Congo.
