February 20th Worship Service:
Good morning everyone! God’s blessings have brought us to worship together in His house, where all are welcome. To the persons worshipping more recently at Knox, a warm welcome is extended to you.
Each Sunday at Knox is a special experience. A noteworthy aspect of today’s worship is the leadership of the Ladies’ Retreat Group and the participation and contribution of all Knox ladies, who play various important roles.
The cloth of character of Knox ladies is woven with strong, bright strands. Knox ladies are imbued with and display traits similar to some of the women in the Bible. They portray the love and caring nature of Mary, Jesus’ mother, faith of Anna, spiritual sensitivity of Mary, the devoted service of Martha, resourcefulness of Rebecca, determination and endurance of Bathsheba, leadership and love of Ruth, for examples.
Twice a year, the Knox ladies experience a special weekend at Crieff Retreat, ‘a place apart to come together’. The reasons for attending are numerous and include: a way to get closer to God and to nature, relaxation and ‘energizing’ with persons of various interests, age differences, concerns and support network…
Crieff is a place of faith renewal, fellowship, fun and activity planning to aid the congregation.
