Worship
When you join us for worship as a visitor or whether you are looking for a church family, we trust that you will feel at home at Knox.Worship is the central activity of our community of faith.
When we worship together at Knox we are not attending a show or performance of a few gifted individuals.
When we worship together we believe that in our worship two parties meet each other in a festive celebration.
One Party is the living God who meets His people in a very special way on a Sunday. The other party is His people who draws closer to Him and celebrate His love, mercy and goodness in their lives.
In the light of Ephesians 5:18 – 20 “… be filled with the Spirit, as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts, giving thanks to God the Father at all times and for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” - we come to our weekly celebration with openness and expectation.
We trust that worship would be an inspiring experience for all participants and may we all come to experience God in a threefold way:
• Rationally – When we read Scripture and sound Biblical preaching follows, challenging all of us in our commitment to Christ.
• Emotionally – In uplifting music and when we praise God together in the hymns we sing.
• Socially – In what happens after worship at home, at work and in all other relationships. The “social question” constantly confronting us: Are we continuing the ministry of Christ in everyday life?
